Please note that to play another race you must first get approval from a Referee, as they may be limited in number, or require you to know more about the culture before you play.

What we now vainly call the "Barbarian races" consist of Tuatha, Firvulag and Cymierian clans. Being physically faster, stronger and more agile than their human brethren they continued to thrive during the Disruption.
The Clan of the Cave Bear are very different from most, they are so in tune with their surroundings that they speak in the ancient ways with the sky and earth to such an extent that they struggle to communicate to other people using words.
Feared by men, these tribes of warrior women shun what they view to be the weaker sex whilst proving themselves fierce and formidable on the battlefield.

Some of the first men to walk the lands and meet the other races, starting with the Elves was a barbarian race lead by a great warrior called Tuor. So was the first house of Man created the House of Tuor whose descendants continue to protect the Elves. Some of the first men to walk the lands were the forest dwelling warriors who at first wanted to drive the Elves from the forests but when they came to deliver these messages, they found themselves loving the Elves and finding faith with the Elves. They then swore oaths to protect and serve the Elves for evermore and so was the second house of Men was created the House of Beor Dain. Some of the first men to walk the lands, these mountain dwellers lived and protected the Dwarves. Those of this house, called after its leader Haleth, vowed to continue in their protection of Dwarvenkind, but undertook further to this to protect those of the Elven race also.
Some Numenorians chose to seclude themselves away from mainstream society, and live at one with nature in the wilds of the world. These have become known as the Dunedain.
The Elcarist live in small villages within the mountains and borders of Region and the Danakil. They are rarely seen by the outside world, with some expeditions to meet them returning without any luck, even after months of searching. The Elcarists themselves tend to be quite shy, with very few taking up martial classes. Those who take up a marshal class tend to be more forth coming, and are even considered loud.
The Dwarven races comprise the Mountain Dwarves, famour miners with a strong work ethic; Cursed Dwarves, an offshoot of the Mountain Dwarves warped by Chaos and the northern Frost Dwarves, taller and slimmer than their Mountain cousins.
The brightly coloured Elemental Elves are intrinsically connected to and embody some of the natures of the elements they are named after. The Greater Elemental Elves are made up of the elements of Fire, Ice, Air, Earth, Dark and Light, with the Lesser Elemental Elves of Twilight being connected to illusion and the Wood Elves being connected to Gymeir and nature.
These races were created deep in the pits of hel. Some have managed to escape to the surface world and are now part of the Elven Nations, even if they are few and far between.
Often an elf will find solace with a human, or vice versa, despite the disparity in the length of their longevity. The Half Elves are the result of such unions, with stature half way between that of their two parent races.
Short, cunning, sneaky and distrustful. The only thing you can be certain of when you meet a Halfling is that they will always appreciate a good meal.
Creatures of the light, Ljos Alfar are uncomfortable in darkness, and hate Necromancy in all its forms. Black Alfar with dark beards are Creatures of the dark, Dark Alfar are uncomfortable in light, and are notorious for keeping their word once given (despite their generally evil nature). Dokk Alfar have black hair and skin, similar to Dark Alfar, but are stockier. They are also creatures of the dark, despising the daylight and keeping to the shadows. Dokk Alfar are hated by both the other Alfar races.
These gangly grey-skinned creatures would stand seven to eight feet tall if they straightened from their permanent hunches. The Cavewights live underground, able to merge with the rock when threatened and their touch is able to drain away the spiritual energy of their foes. There are many tribes, but only those of the Stone Cradle have currently declared they will not attack the alliance on sight so far.
Arachnians are an odd race, known for their secrecy and mastery of Illusion. They are broadly the same height as Humans, but with slender limbs and what is thought of as Elven proportions to their bodies.
Long limbed, eight foot tall, short and wiry, disease ridden, fur covered or black-skinned, brutal, loving, cunning and malicious - these half-breeds come in every flavour, taste and smell.
The result of an unfortunate union between a Human and an Orc, these half breeds are as disease ridden and brutal as their Orcish parents but pick up cunning from their human side making them a deadly combatant.
Reaching around nine foot tall, these fur covered, long limbed creatures are known to have a malicious, if not evil, streak. Up until recently the entire race was outlawed by the alliance due to their actions, though few have seen their "bloodbath rituals" and lived to tell the tale. While they may talk crudely the Half Ogre is very intelligent and cunning and they have a known hatred of elves.
Short, wiry, with dark skin and whiskers, the origins of this race are lost amongst rumours. Their frame and build make them excellent scouts, adept at fighting underground, they are known to have a hatred of Drowh.
Massive hulking grey skinned creatures, the Half Trolls are looked down on as being stupid or little more than animals but the resentment is seldom reciprocated. Most Half Trolls have an uncanny love for Elemental Elves and Dwarves, but even that does not come near their love for food. A Half Troll will eat literally anything, consuming at least their own (not inconsiderable) bodyweight every week.
Hollogs were bred with the intention of being a more prolific mini- troll with the cunning of the Orcs, They look like a smaller more brutish troll with black skin. They clad themselves in furs and while smaller than a troll, are still of substantial size compared to a human.
Huge creatures, standing over eight foot tall and covered in dark fur. They are stupid creatures with intelligence barely above that of a dog, they are malicious and will not often think any further than where their next meal is coming from.
Purple and demonic in appearance the Shevlies are rumoured to have been created to be assassins, but have since escaped and prefer to simply eat delicious foods, especially sugared or sweet ones. Should you ever meet a hungry one though, do not feed them meat, for the result is extremely dangerous to any nearby.
Hailing from the central deserts of Elind, the Darkendari are a patriarchal Human race with a strong innate psionic potential, Darkendari are generally seen as devious, arrogant and cruel. Darkendari society is tribal in its structure. The people have always been divided into Houses, owing life and loyalty to the rulers of the House alone.
A nomadic folk with an intensely spiritual nature, they are laid back and generally live together in communes. They are mainly pacifist and rarely take up military professions, but those that do undergo a rite of passage to release, and control, the animal inside them.
A very chivalrous people with a highly spiritual nature, the Kleetians are famed for being fearless, humourless and proud. They are an intensely lawful people and have been said to "See everything in terms of black and white" (which, ironically enough, is also their national colours).
This tribe of Elindanians descend from the mighty Horde of Horselords that terrorized most of the continent. Hill dwelling folk, these tough, tanned skinned peoples no longer ride the ponies their ancestors were famous for but the Horde is still a force to be reckoned with.
Kon Kharkians are an Eilindanian democracy who hold their Priests and gods in high esteem. Although most members of the race seen outside Khon Khark are Priests, their culture is made up of many different professions. Although a democracy, the nation would not function without the many slaves without a vote who labour on the menial day to day tasks.
The Edhaal live in tight knit communities within the forests of Elind, living off the land and using the forest terrain to great effect whenever a foe tries to invade. All of the Edhaal are excellent foresters, trappers and seemingly vanish into the forests, luring their enemies into snares and ambushes before melting away into the forests once more.
One of the smallest lands in Elind but one of the most powerful. No-one knows when, but the Peoples of Marnom at some point in history re-discovered gunpowder. A nation of people divided by class: the Marnish themselves sit at the top with their lands, titles and wealth - parading around in the finest clothes they can get with lace cuffs, silken shirts, shiny buttons, velvet coats and tabards, and large feathers in their hats; Lower Brunswickians are the hard working people who really keep Marnom functioning; and the Bolvians are almost permanently at the bottom of the pecking order and have long plotted and rebelled to install their own 'Presidente' until recent years when they have been given more (any!) rights.
